Darkness descends upon the club, distorted bass-lines remain the only beacon of guidance left. Two international acts will spark these power cuts: Prague duo Zaffer9, breaking through as one of the most idiosyncratic new names on the Eastern European scene with their intense blend of murky witch house, abrasive post-club experimentation and gothic chants, and Budapest-based selector and producer HEATDEATH1992, weaving techno, bass and broken rhythms into a dystopian sonic landscape – a vision of a universe on the brink of implosion. From the local circuit the live premiere of Tachyon’s upcoming release; a producer who explores the cracks of computer music and digital textures, not called the Slovenian Aphex Twin for nothing. The local club presence is further charged by up-and-coming DJs Ribero and Jush Kush, who will make sure the tension on the dancefloor doesn’t ease until the very last breath.
